For most drivers, all-season tires are appropriate for most weather conditions they encounter, even when it snows. However, because Volvo Cars Bend is located in an area that experiences cold winter conditions with some snow, many vehicle owners would be better off buying and using snow tires for part of the year. Here is how the two types are different.

All-season tires are kind of like shoes in that you can use them when there is a little bit of snow on the ground, but you wouldn't want to use regular shoes when there is six inches of snow. Likewise, all-season tires provide some traction in snow but not a lot.

Winter tires, on the other hand, are built for cold conditions with a different type of rubber composition that will keep them supple in cold temperatures. The tread on winter tires is deeper and patterned in a way that will aid traction.
